5 Stars Favorite mic
I used this mic every day while running a studio. We had a whole closet of specialty mics but almost always grabbed the 414 eventually. Great on male vocals, violin, acoustic guitar…only reason I wouldn’t grab & try this first is if I was miking a guitar cab or close miking a snare. Buy two & use as the best overheads for a choral group or for a grand piano you ever use! No mic is perfect for every situation but with this and a few SM57s & 58s you’ll cover 90% of every situation with great sound.
5 Stars I would compare this mic with the U87
I would compare this mic with the U87
It’s very good
It’s called here in Recife a working horse…
Because it works wonders in any situation
It will all depend tho
On your ears and the situations you’re in like the room; your voice and imagination…
